    Can you give me a species list for realm of the red ape? That galliforme list would be very nice thanks. Could you also do one for hornbill as I can't find when the joined the zoos collection.

    I don't have a list for the Realm of the Red Ape, though I suspect it may house the following.

    Both subspecies, (or species if you agree with the latest classification) of Orang Utans obviously.

    a gibbon species.

    What happened to the bare faced curassows and the vieillot's crested firebacks?

    The female Vieillot's Crested Firebacks died and the male eventually left Chester. The Bare-faced Curassows were replaced by the Red-billed Curassows. Chester had a UK first breeding of bare-faced Curassow in 1966 and a first UK breeding of Red-billed Curassow in 2004.

    Why don't they have the guan anymore. they are a wonderful species. Not as nice as the horned guan but they are just exceptionally rare in zoos.
