Species lists only show data from 11 zoos which are members of the Federation of Hungarian Zoos. Three of them (Budapest Zoo, Györ Zoo and Kecskemet Zoo) dont present data so far, so these lists have not completely finished yet. Other non-member collections, like Tropicarium (Budapest), Crocodile Zoo (Kaposvar) or Abony Zoo are not represented. Did Budapest zoo keep Greater Birds of Paradise in 1970s-1980s? I seem to recall seeing them there as a very, very small child.
Yes, Budapest Zoo kept one species from the Paradisaeidae somewhere in the 1980s, but I dont remember exactly which species. One of my books about the history of the zoo would help me, but it is pretty far away from me at the moment ... Mega late reply, and not too informative, I know ...
