    I think it is natural, to be interested or attracted to some groups of animals more than to others, and this can be the case to a more specific level (like for example, deciding to which groups of parrots you are more interested in: Neotropical or Australian?)

    Can you decide you're interested and not very interested, to a more specific level within the class or the orders or simply a group of the zoo animals?

    Mines:
    - Interested in apes, gibbons, neotropical non-human primates, lemurs but not very interested in old-world monkeys;
    - Interested in spotted felids and tigers but not very interested in lions, small non-spotted cats;
    - ... in hyennas but not.... in canids;
    - ... in pandas, sun bears, sloth bears, spectacled bears, but not ... in other bears
    - ... in big marsupials but not ... in small marsupials
    - ... in non-caprine artiodactylids but not... in caprines
    - ... in sloths, giant anteater, tamandua but not ... in aardvark, armadilos

    - Interested in neotropical and Indonesian and Oceanic parrots, but not very interested in Australian and African parrots
    - ... in vultures and condors, but .... in eagles (except African fish eagle) and falcons
    - ... in turacos, but not .... in tropical doves (pigeons)
    - ... in hornbills, toucans, tropical passerines, but not ... in galliformn birds, rattites (except cassowary)
    - ... in storks, but not.... in waterfowl, sea birds

    - Interested in venomous snakes and boids, but not very interested in other snakes
    - ... in crocodiles and giant tortoises, but not... in other chelonians
    - ... in iguanas and monitors, but ... in other lizards
