Ree Park - two new cubs born to Gasha and Asim on 19th Feb

Does anyone know where the two male cubs from Gasha's previous litter went? Are they still at Ree Park?

 

Rimba went to Zoological Center Tel Aviv - Rama Gan on december 19 2016 and Whitey is still at Ree Park. Didn't one of the male cubs have a white tail and white paws?

Yes one of the male cubs did have white paws and tail when young. However I haven't seen any recent photos of him so am unsure if the white markings remained or changed color as he grew older

 

Reserve Haute La Touche - 2.0 cubs born 13/12/2016 to Kasih (Chester2013) and Toba (WHF2011). Cubs have been named Tilak and Sialang

 

La Boissiere - a female cub was born to Suma and Kuasa on 13th January

 

Female, Indah (Dudley2005) has sadly been put to sleep at Howletts due to osteoarthritis. Leaving male, Amir on his own currently

Did Indah ever come to Chester?

 

No, her brother (Kepala) did though.

 

Kepala was meant to breed with Kirana,but is was discovered that the two where related so he was transferred to Dublin Zoo(I think,correct me if necessary) and Fabi was transferred to Chester.

 

They knew Kirana and Kepala were related. They were never going to breed. Hence the studbook keeper recommended pairing Fabi with Kirana and Kepala being placed at Dublin (who at that time had just lost there previous adult male)

 

Thanks Nisha. I knew there wasa connection, I saw the same tiger at Dudley (baby), at Dublin (teenager) and at Chester (adult)

Male Dandys was transfered from Brno to Jihlava. He met his new girlfriend Cinta.

Does anyone know if any sumartrain tigers will move on this year London,Paington and Chester zoo all have tigers that could move on for the European breeding program. Paingtons female Shakira is elderly now does anyone think she could move on to a new collection this year?

Zoo Jihlava announced birth of unspecifed number of cubs. It´s first breeding of pair Dandys/Cinta. Zoo doesn´t know the exact number because they dont want to disturb Cinta and there is no camera in the breeding den.

 

Paignton cannot move out mammals until the zoo is declared clear of bovine TB, following the outbreak last year which led to the herd of lechwe being culled. More details in the Paignton forum.
