    Summerfield Zoo is a facility located in Belvidere Illinois. Species include North American porcupine, Arctic fox, ring-tailed lemur, reindeer, cougar, spotted hyena, African crested porcupine, grey wolf, groundhog, llama, emu, North American river otter, Patagonian cavy, and bobcat.

    On January 4th, 2021, the zoo announced that their grey wolves have received a new exhibit.

    On May 7th, the zoo announced that a (0.1) reindeer was born.

    On July 1st, the zoo announced they have acquired a (0.1) "blue-phase" Arctic fox named Poppy and will be located in the Animal Nursery building.

    *Note: There might be some births that I forgot due to lack of info. Species that might have had babies this year include, ring-tailed lemur, Patagonian cavy, reindeer, and pygmy goat (breed non-specified).

    On April 19th, 2022, the zoo announced that a (1.0) pot-bellied pig named Wilbur has passed away.

    On May 4th, the zoo announced that a (0.1) North American porcupine was born and is on exhibit in the animal nursery.

    On May 11th, the zoo announced that a (0.0.1) Arabian horse was born on May 8th.

    On June 30th, the zoo announced that another (0.0.3) Arabian horse have been born in 2022.

    On December 7th, the zoo announced that a (1.0) dromedary camel named Humphery passed away.

    On January 27th, 2023, the zoo announced they moved their (1.0) southern tamandua (named Reuben) from the nursery into his new exhibit next to the Linne's two-toed sloth exhibit.

    On March 20th, the zoo announced they acquired a (0.0.1) domestic donkey (breed not specified) named Dominic.
