Rio Napo Tamarins arrived The rich collection of Callitrichinae of Szeged Zoo was enriched an additional species in the recent past: an extremely rare Rio Napo Tamarins arrived to the zoo from Jihlava Zoo. I'm a *little* bit late with this, but this is pretty cool news. I checked ISIS and it shows only three zoos with Saguinus graellsi, two in the Czech Republic and one in Hungary. Are there others elsewhere (e.g. South America), and did Szeged Zoo get unrelated animals to breed from?
What other zoo beside Jihlava maintains and perhaps breeds the species. It would be advisable to increase the founder base. What is the chance for fresh imports from S.America?
