Taman Safari Gurun Putih Lestari, not associated with Taman Safari Indonesia, in Aceh keep four Sumatran serow. Their origin is unknown, but I would guess they were wild caught. They lived in a suprisingly nice exhibit. The zoo probably still keep them, but it's hard to know for sure. Aside from the serow, other animals they keep are ostrich, rheas, emus, horses, sambar, and chitals in their safari ride. As well as peafowls, hornbills, cockatoos, cassowary, kites, orangutans, and others.
This "safari park" has some good breeding results with their Sumatran Serau. Some of Serau that born there will be send to Batu Secret Zoo. Unfortunately Serau in Batu won't be exhibited. They will live in breeding center.
Taman Safari Gurun Putih Lestari acquire two pairs of lions (Pair of white and pair of normal lion) from "Czechoslovakia" (From the news segment it self). They also planned to acquire more animals, like camels. Kebun Binatang GPL Tambah Koleksi Empat Singa - Serambinews.com
