What species of Tarsier does the night safari keep?
How many are kept?
Is it easy to see/photograph?
Only 1 male spectral tarsier is kept. Very very hard to spot. A lot of luck required.
Do you know if this animal is still alive?
Yes; there were two (1.1) when I visited in May. Zooish might be able to confirm their current status.
I found that they were easy to see but difficult to photograph. Flash photography is strictly prohibited throughout the park.
spectral tarsier (endemic to the Indonesian islands of Sulawesi, Pulau Peleng, and Pulau Selajar. ) both .... or another species now?
Haven't visited recently (planning to soon), but yeah as of May / June this year there were a pair of Spectral Tarsiers.
And yes, flash photography is *ahem* strictly prohibited in the park
Well you say it's forbidden but accidents can and do happen...
