Researching a zoo tour and really surprised that in Denmark there are 2 zoo's and a Safari Park within 20 minutes by car of each other.

    Is this the record?/?

You forgot the Kattegatcentret aquarium which is also within a 20 minute's drive of all of those. :p Along with Randers Regnskov at the edge of the peninsula, Djursland is definitely Denmark's best zoo area for anyone who has access to a car.

And let's not forget the Rhine-Ruhr area which is jam-packed with zoos. It seems like you'll reach at least five zoos (maybe even a dozen) within half an hour's transport time no matter which city you are in, though you may have to travel a bit more to reach the most interesting ones.

I'd also like to think that there are areas in the Netherlands where the amount of zoos matches that number.

In the UK it would have to be the West Midlands or Kent.

There must be a record for how close Timbavati Wildlife Park, Wisconsin Deer Park, and Beaver Springs Park Aquarium are to each other.

Bristol Zoo, Wild Place, Bristol Aquarium (and Noah's Ark if you fancy it) are all within the Greater Bristol area.

Newquay Zoo, Newquay Blue Reef and Paradise Park in Hayle are within 20 minutes of each other.

Cotswold WP, Croc's Of The World and Birdland are also within 20 minutes or so of each other.

Living Coasts, Paignton and Shaldon Wildlife Trust are in 3 adjacent towns on the South Coast of Devon, again all within 20 minutes of each other.

That's all the UK ones I can think of right now. Probably think of some more tomorrow.

With these two literally right next to each other! It makes for an awesome day out, and seeing Dugongs and Platypus at the Aquarium, then Tassie Devils and Bilbies at Sydney Wildlife was one of the highlights of my Australia trip.

I know I'm being pedantic but you'd really struggle to get between Paradise Park and Newquay zoo in less than 30 minutes. The roads on that route are single lane and usually congested -I endured this last year (for a first visit to Paradise Park) and the journey, especially on top of the drag from Torquay to Paradise Park, was not pleasant.

There are four zoos and an aquarium all within New York City. Travel time between them would depend on how and when you're traveling.
