    i can remember danny, and all the others before that end was closed off as staff only

    still wander around to see them its the quietest corner of the zoo now

    This is from the days of when Danny was in the enclosure that now holds a group of Siamang neat where the Tropical House was!

    ah i got mixed up then, i have to admit i have now they've all moved around

    used to be me and the wife wandered around the zoo from around 9am - 5ish maybe 6ish (i know they "opened" at 10 but this is the old days where they didnt mind early entries - where as now they dont allow it)

    however everythings moved, and we have kids now which between the 3 of them mean that we have to rush around and cant spend as much time as we would like just wandering around taking it in anymore

    its one of those reasons i like that corner where the tapirs are now, its always quiet, i can remember it being just the odd tortoise in the old shed, the chimps, the old pets corner that sort of thing
