Bali Safari have kept four striped hyena (Hyaena hyaena) since 2019. Two female named Manama dan Adliya, two male named Hamad & Riffa. On October 8th, 2020, Manama gave birth to a female baby, the result of mating with a male named Riffa. She was born healthy with an initial weight of 860 grams. The baby hyena does not yet have a name, until a Indonesian actress, named Jessica Iskandar, named her "Mooi". Mooi is taken from Dutch language, which means beautiful. After 2 weeks since birth, Mooi's eyes were already open. A week later, her teeth began to grow and she had learned to walk. It was only after she turned 1 month old that Mooi was introduced to complementary foods with milk. Mooi is now being treated intensively by a team of doctors. Because, after 6 days of birth, the mother's milk was not sufficient for Mooi's needs. Therefore, as a substitute, Mooi received formula milk every 4 hours.
