The floral hall in the grounds of Belfast zoo, is due to be redeveloped as part of a £150 million development plan from Belfast city council.
BBC News - £150m revamp is planned for Belfast
My question is firstly, what is the history of the building and what is its proposed use in the future?

As for the history of Floral hall it has an interesting history

    Floral Hall - BBPT

It is to be returned to its former glory as a wedding / conference centre, with possible enhanced cafe / restaurant facilities for the zoo.

While some will say it would make a good animal house for something or other, part of the funding needed to restore it is from grants, which I assume wouldn't be available to transform its use into an animal house, it also would be cost effective, it will generate more income in the long run if everything come4s together.

Restored to its former glory it will be an asset to the zoo in my opinion, and will hopefully lead to more investment in the zoo as a result
