What is the most photographed individual animal that appears in the Zoochat photo galleries. Any ideas?

This question was prompted by seeing another nice recent photo of the Crowned Guenon at Twycross and thinking of how many Zoochatters have photographed it over the years..

    Guilty as charged, Your Honour.

My guess is that it might be one of the Sumatran rhinos which were kept at Cincinnati Zoo - perhaps Harapan or Andalas.

In the main gallery and I believe including two photos of Harry at the White Oak Center, there's a combined total of 38 photos of Harapan from 5 different members.

When one considers how many photographs were lost in the Great Purge I think the Crowned Monkey would certainly be up there.

Pixie the Tuatara at Chester will probably be the most photographed individual reptile however.

My guess would be either the boto at Duisburg or male elephant Alexander, because he's been at so many collections over the years...

    ZooChat Zoo Statistics

The often question-provoking Stats page suggests that based on probability the animal may come from one of the four following zoos: Chester, San Diego, Los Angeles or Cincinnati. Maybe one of the elephant cows at Chester?

Alternatively, given that these are huge zoos with many animals, maybe there is a small zoo (or a zoo with less photos) with a superstar animal. Or a large zoo where one species attracts most of the attention, like SeaWorld.

I would have said "Casey" the leopard seal at Taronga.

My guess it will be one of silverback gorillas.

Gorillas and chimps feature less often in the Zoochat galleries I think, than on some other specialist websites.

I've had a quick look through the Paignton gallery, just out of interest, and there are 21 photos of Bruce the echidna, plus one of his enclosure taken in 2008. Partly down to my own efforts, there are about 95 orangutan photos and 104 gorilla ones, but I'm not going to divide them into individuals unless absolutely necessary. Duchess the African elephant features quite prominently as, surprisingly, do the Takin brothers, Adrian and Arnold.

It seems that my photos of the crowned guenon and the white jackdaw have gone from the Gallery (perhaps I didn't post my shots of the jackdaw, they certainly weren't as good as SMR's photos). However I must accept responsibility for more than my fair share of the photos of Pixie and Bruce

I think the white Jackdaw was confined to a few Chester regulars. The Crowned Guenon has a wider fanbase.:)

I have over the years of Zoochat generally confined myself to the UK and to lesser extent European sections and even then miss many/most of the European gallery photos, so there could be many other very popular individual animal subjects I'm not aware of.
