Almost certainly right! I love the photos and videos on the Taronga Zoo blog, especially the "happy face" of Mr Shuffles in the water :D It sounds like he's doing as well as a "normal" elephant calf.

According to Taronga Zoo's Twitter account, little Mr. Shuffles has officially been named Parthi Harn!

I'll bet the name Mr. Shuffles sticks, though, even if unofficially.

Went in to see Mali for the second time today. She's already 198kg as at last weighing, after a birth weight of 110kg.

There are plans, apparently, for Num-oi to be pregnant by the end of the year.

Not today, no. I went to the zoo after ending up at a loose end in the area for 3 hours, so no camera.

I saw the little guy on the tv news yesterday he appears to be walking and running around really well. Also reading Taronga zoos website states his weight has increased to 130kgs?. I guess his new name is no surprise but he will be remembered as Mr Shuffles, lol.

Nice shot on the video at about 1.30 of the keepers bringing the two cows and the calf into the paddock.:)

I'd certainly say he's looking at a good future now.

I was at Taronga about 5 days ago now. The same day little Pathi Harn was named. Unfortunately i missed the ceremony, but still got to see him.

Him and Luk Chai together was quite awesome. Luk Chai has matured a lot as well, he's getting more and more independent.

If you go towards the end of the 90 minute sessions, you should only have to wait about 10 minutes.

For those of you in Oz tomorrow night on channel 7 there is a one hour program about Pathi Harn (Mr Shuffles) at 7.30 called "Miracle at the zoo"
