Hello! I'm surprised that a thread of this kind doesn't exist here, but I've searched and really there is nothing similar in the forum. I think that the main explanation is that community here are very strict by dividing the Gallery from the Forum - I think posts with loads of photos are not much appreciated here in general. But I enjoy looking at photos grouped by thematic in a forum thread, and a nice thematic would be this one: photos of animal pairs! So I will present here my collection of photos of animal pairs. My self-imposed rules are: -No photos where three or more individuals of the same species allowed -Animals must be alive, even if some great life-like diorama couples of animals can be photographed in museums and such -Animals must pass as adults (a mother caring its young is not allowed, except if the young is enough old for look like an adult) -Animals must pass as male and female (they can be the same sex only if they don't have a striking sexual dimorphism). Hermaphrodit animals are allowed but always as pairs. -A different species are allowed in a photo of a couple, but only if it's visually non-intrusive. Example: a couple of giraffes with a zebra butt barely seen in a corner is allowed, but a couple of zebras with a giraffe in between them is not. -Photos of animals mating, just pre-mating or just post-mating are now allowed for internal-fertilization species. They must be separated, or joined but not engagin in sexual activity, for visual uniformity of the photo collection. -A same person can't upload more than one couple animal photo for each species. -Subspecies, breeds and any infraspecific taxa will not be considered. The aim of this thead is to show my own photos that match this subject, but also, to see the photos of other members that also fit in the thread, so welcome to post here! Especially appreciated will be photos of species not already posted. I will do in groups of 5 photos by post, each one representing a species. 1. Abudefduf bengalensis, Bengal Sergeant 2.
