Thank you! I passed them both and ended up with satisfying grades in my classes so I'm pleased!

And of course, was there ever a question? (even though I originally posted with tomistoma in place of Thylacine and later went back and changed it)

    :D

Congrats on your exams! It's always relieving to do well, even if you've revised as much as possible - I always fear I've managed to misread a key question or go on an unrelated tangent in an essay but most of the time it turns out fine, although that can't be said for my first ever biology exam in which I got a stunning 36% :D

It isn't the exact same photo but I am sure it is the same specimen:

I have a confession to make: every time I so much as hear the name of I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas, I just want to yell at the singer that hippos are an extremely dangerous species no sane layman would nor can keep.

On the bright side, its given me an idea for a book.

My dad once met a guy named Pablo who took that song way too seriously. He definitely wasn't a sane layman, though, he was always trying to get my day to visit his farm in Colombia and always had baking flour on him. Weird guy, wonder what happened to him.

I just realised @Echobeast's profile picture is of a tapir. I thought it was an owl, though I don't know why I thought an owl could be so long! :p

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I was shocked to see @snowleopard on the DNC the other night

That's hilarious, as I haven't been to Philadelphia in a decade and that dude is 20 years older than me! :p Cool name though...

Talk about whales. Is anyone watching Winter Watch on BBC? Chris Packham exhibited a bottle nose dolphin skull. The trouble is it looked like it ought to be the skull of Big Bird of the Muppet Show!?!

On a related note, never google that because now every time I see a dolphin I'm picturing this:[IMG]Now this is a video of a dolphin swimming behind a boat to cleanse your palate:
