@NZ Jeremy: no worries, as you and I have chatted privately quite a bit on ZooChat and I didn't think you were "having a go" at me. I just feel bad for Zooish, but at the same time he was a little naive with the photos. Oh well.

Yeah, I've just read through the old threads, seems a storm in a tea cup to me...

Deletion, an apology and more care in future seemed to be the way to go to me, not effectively banning yourself as Zooish did...

I voted for Picture No 2 of Asha and her cub which is very poignant now that the cub has just died.

Picture no 8 has now taken a very interesting lead......

Picture 8 was voted for about 5 times the other night in about as many minutes, considering the lack of interest before that I find this surprising.

P.s I voted for picture 8, but still find it alittle strange the number of hits the other night.

Thanks for your concern, Taun, but in all honesty I believe that "the technicalities" of the polls here at the site work just as they should. Might this not just have been a result of me "pushing the poll" in a post just a few days ago and that perhaps a number of forumsters on the other side of the globe (on another time schedule than our) found out about the poll and got interested?

Actually I discovered that someone (or a group of people) all signed up at the same time and voted on the poll - for this picture. None of these people have posted on the forums, nor have they signed in again since they signed up and voted.

Now either someone got all their friends to sign up and vote for them, or they themselves signed up as multiple users.

Either way, it's very disappointing that someone feels it necessary to warp the results like this. I will be taking action to prevent similar things in the future.

I have adjusted the poll results to remove those extra votes.

probably isn't likely but might of been a small chance that it was just all coincodence? Cause doesn't really seem fair if the photographer didn't have anything to with it. ( Just suggesting is all).

9 people who signed up all at the same time, from the same IP address and did nothing but vote in the poll and have not done anything since. Not a coincidence.
