Thanks guys. Rather odd that they would dub something so clearly British, especially given all the talking by keepers.

I found it amusing that the meerkat keeper referred to her charges as "the dirt of the zoo world"!

On last night's final episode(repeated?- I don't know) of the show, regarding the Jaguar pair- they said the male had received 'male contraception' What form would that be?

I thought it was mentioned it was an implant?

Surely the only way other than separating or castrating the male.

Glad that this time were going to see lions and bears and I hope that we see more of Islands!

Last time I thought that some animals had too much air time (penguins)

Great news that they'very commissioned a second series. What sort of financial rewards do the zoo benefit from? Apart from increased visitor numbers.

I'd hazard a guess that the zoo would be payed expenses and such costs incured during filming but I don't expect Channel 4 would be paying them as such (the increased visitor numbers in the past few months speak volumes for the amount of publicity they've had out of it)

Chester Chronicle are also mentioning a Christmas special being in the pipeline

6 episodes before Christmas means it must start relatively soon. Any news on a date for the start of the series yet?
