Auckland Zoo The Zoo TV Series

Clearly TV3 have noticed the lack of zoo shows in this time slot - a saviour at last!

I saw the trailer for this show yesterday, it looked good, but I had assumed it would be on in the afternoon, not the evening.

 

I hope the NZ series only returns after the Australian series finishes, as they both share the same timeslot.

 

First time I have seen Auckland Zoo on an international zoo TV show, usually the other way around. Nice!

 

Was it on the Taronga Zoo show last night? I missed it.

The Zoo NZ returns 7pm on 25 November, TV ONE.
Unfortunately, this will collide with Wild Life at the Zoo.
At least both channels have +1!

I enjoy it, but if I had to I would choose The Zoo NZ.
However, the stories featured in WLATZ are more indepth, with usually only one story per episode (and in some cases, like the gorillas, two episodes per story).

wait what season of the zoo NZ is on tv now i have forgoten is it season 12 and season 13 will be next year?

 

Season 12 is returning at the end of the month, and Season 13 will air sometime next year.

 

Oh right well i heard that they were filming season 12 at the beginning of the year and thats the one that was on tv 1 and is coming back late november but i havnt heard ay thing that they have stared filming for season 13 or have they not stared yet.

 

I'm confused on the link below is an auction on trade me and its the zoo 2012 so season 12 but I still can't find any thing on if season 11 has come out yet ???

From memory, I think season 11 had a limited type of release and wasn't available for the general public to purchase, as I remember it being a prize for FOTZ in one of the Zoo Alive magazines.

I usually don't buy documentary dvds (unless they're very cheap) as Auckland Libraries loan them for free.

 

The Zoo is up for Best Reality Series (although I would call it a documentary series) in the TV Guide Best on the Box awards.

I have some disappointing news. The Zoo has not been recommissioned so there are no plans for a new series.

 

This was probably my favourite zoo show on TV while it was shown in Australia (not since around 2011) That news is such a shame
