Things that are Moderately Awesome in Life From the lad who brought you: Things That Irritate You in Life Here comes a thread dedicated to the moderately awesome stuff in life. Why only moderately awesome, you ask? Why not straight up regulation awesome? Well if anything we were to record in here was the most awesome stuff that happened to you in life, that’d be kind of sad; yet ironically it’s more interesting (and relatable) to all of us to read about than how you graduated with first class honours, proposed to the love of your life or welcomed your twelfth child. So go forth and record the moderately awesome stuff that’s happened in your life recently - including incidences of sheer luck/being in the right place at the same time.
1. Catching something thrown at you from a distance with one hand and looking casual asf about it while everyone gasps in amazement at my skill. 2. Being called on for an answer (when you’re not paying attention) and coming out with something completely legit. 3. Turning up to a function half an hour late (hoping to avoid the speeches) and stepping into the room as the last speech wraps up. 4. Having lunch with my friends when a lady comes up with a box of pizza, complaining she’s stuffed (and offering us the box); look inside expecting to see three slices (once each) max; and instead find an entire pizza minus one slice.
Sure! Think of it this way, if it’s something so awesome you’d write home about/put in the Christmas letter, it’s too awesome for this thread (e.g. winning a million dollars in the lottery). Think awesome, but low key.
I remember this! it was the middle of the night. I spotted a tiny White-Tail buck outside my window because there was a lamp post there that lit up the area. A medium-sized buck then came up to the tiny buck. They then started to fight. I got my mother to come watch them. In what felt like an hour the medium-sized buck left the tiny buck. Then a medium or large buck appeared, I couldn’t see as the light post didn’t really light that area up where he was. The medium buck then fought the medium to large-sized one. They were so loud! They sounded like fireworks kinda. sorry that the post was so big...
When people open doors with me. I've got to open all these doors by myself... *grumble* *grumble* *grumble*
When you’re having a shared lunch at work and the regional manager sends a stack of pizzas, giving me a chance to say, “My very educated manager just sent us nine pizzas.” Screw serving nachos or noodles. #Planets
