I didn't see a thread for this zoo, but correct me if I am wrong...

Tierpark Sababurg recently received a male European wolverine from Tierwelt Herberstein (Austria). The male, called Odin (~1 year), will eventually live together with female Freyja with the hopes of getting offspring. The zoo currently has 3 European wolverines, 1 male (Odin) and 2 females (Freyja and Helga).

In May a 1-year old female European bison (Bison bonasus) that was born in Tierpark Sababurg in 2020, together with 9 other female european bisons from other European zoos were released in the Romanian Carpathian Mountains.

In June atleast 4 West Caucasian turs (Capra caucasica) were born.

In August 10-year old male meerkat Timon passed away.

Recently a female Altai maral (Cervus canadensis sibiricus) arrived from Parco Faunistico La Torbiera, where she was born in 2019. Tierpark Sababurg now has 1,3 Altai marals.

A few months ago an albino Red-necked wallaby (Notamacropus rufogriseus) was born and now starts to look out of the mother's pouch.
