While I haven't actually visited the Museum in question, I might get around to it over the summer. I found a very useful tool on their website by chance allowing people to navigate the exact species on show currently. I have only noted down the mammal and bird species below here, but if anyone is interested, a plethora of fish and invert species can be found across the many galleries of the museum. I only noted the species below down because some of the species I suspect would be very interesting to certain members and I believe a number of them are not present in the gallery as of yet. I will be noting the species of note in bold. Particularly interesting are the large number of Japanese endemics. Oh sorry, yes, taxidermies, no skeletons, no live specimens as far as I know of. Would be absolutely fantastic were they to be live but alas, the thylacine and Japanese wolf seem a bit far-fetched . My bad for not clarifying .
