Intresting behaviour regarding the Toucans. After the success of the breeding pair last year the chicks now have their own enclosure. On veiwing the parents I thought maybe the zoo did not want them breeding this year as they had put a piece of wood across the entrance to the box,Now I know what those beaks are used for .they have made a huge hole in the wood and it looks like they may have something going on in the nest box. Amazing..........:p

Are you referring to the Toco Toucans in the ex-nursery aviary?
Apparently they still have a/some Great Indian Hornbills off-show? Be nice to know their plans for them.....? In the future the zoo could build a dedicated bird house for toucans & hornbills?
