I've never heard of a zoo in a high school before. Is this more common in other countries?

A lot of schools here in Czechia has a miniature "zoo corner" with a few easy species, you know guinea pigs, rabbits, snakes etc.

I don´t know of any such place that could pass as a full-blown zoo. But high school in town Litomyšl that offers apprenticeship in agriculture, farming mechanisation, gardening and animal husbandry, keeps a collection of 350 species within its areal, mostly reptiles.

I went there today. Its a very small zoo, so every exhibit should be easy enough to spot, though whether the animal in an exhibit is out or not is a different story. I'll probably add a species list but if you have any questions before I do, feel free to ask.

One note from my visit that may be of interest is that the updated paper map I received shows Markhor by the exhibit where the Japanese Serow used to be. However, there are only domestic goats in the exhbit currently and all signs are for those. So either Markhor are currently behind the scenes, are in the process of being acquired or those plans fell through right before the new maps printed.
