Does anyone have any information on any recent escapes from Living Coasts regarding Tufted Puffins. One was seen on Tuesday/Weds in Kent on the Swale Estuary and Living Coasts is the only zoo in Europe to keep them.

I'm trying to rule out the possiblility of this being an escaped bird.

    Cheers

I don't know if it's still been seen, (birdguides has the ominous ? symbol)but accounts I've heard are that it 'must' be a wild bird- I assume someone has checked with Living Coasts in that case.

Are you thinking of going for it?

Exactly the same thought crossed my mind.
