Oh Good! I thought they'd been cancelled after Season 2. Will look forward to seeing that sometime in the future. Hix
I've just been perusing the net to see what's happening with some of my favourite TV Shows and discovered a whole range of renewals and cancellations. The big American networks haven't made too many decisions yet, although many of the cable networks have. And several shows have actually been renewed for two seasons (and three for three seasons). This is what I've found so far*: Officially Renewed NCIS (renewed last round for two seasons) Zoo The Simpsons (for two more seasons to bring them to Season 30) Longmire (for a sixth and final season) The Last Ship (for a 4th and 5th Season) Transparent Better Call Saul The Walking Dead (for Season 8) Broadchurch Doctor Who Orphan Black (for a fifth and final season) Inside Amy Schumer South Park (for Seasons 21, 22 and 23) The Royals American Horror Story The Americans (for Season 5 and a final Season 6) Fargo It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (for Seasons 12, 13 & 14) Curb Your Enthusiasm (Season 8 ended in 2011, Season 9 will air in 2017) Game of Thrones (for an eighth and final season) Veep Vikings UnREAL Teen Wolf House of Cards Narcos (for a third and fourth Season) Orange is the New Black (for seasons 5, 6 and 7) Stranger Things Call the Midwife Poldark Sherlock Episodes (for a fifth and final season) Homeland (for seasons 7 and 8) Ray Donovan Black Sails 12 Monkeys The Magicians American Dad (for seasons 12 & 13) Mr Robot Scream (for a shortened third season of only six episodes) Fear of the Walking Dead Daredevil Sense8 Officially Cancelled Bones (final season premieres next year) Aquarius Grimm (final season next year) Containment (cancelled after only one season) The Vampire Diaries (finale airs next year) Unforgettable Pretty Little Liars (season 7 will be the last) House of Lies Penny dreadful Murder in the First Rizzoli and Isles Tyrant A couple of other things to note: The Good Wife finished earlier this year, but the spinoff - The Good Fight - premieres in February in the USA. MacGyver was originally only slated for 13 eps, but CBS last month picked it up for the full season (22 eps). Lethal Weapon has also been picked up for the full season. Carpool Karaoke: Apple Music have ordered a series based on James Cordern's clips. They will, however, be new clips and will not feature Cordern. Lost in Space - a new series of 10 eps has been ordered by Netflix. Hix * I've only listed TV series of interest to me, and other's I've either seen advertised or heard people talking about (or have been discussed previously in this thread).
What will Season 3 and 4 of Narcos be about? I assumed that Pablo dies in Season 2. Maybe it will be about other Narcos in some other country?
I just finished watching all of Penny Dreadful. In particular, the last season will appeal to some zoo nerd with lots of visits to the natural history museum (though seeing an Okapi and a Mountain Nyala in 1892 does make for some fun error spotting).
Some recent developments: The Odd Couple is all but cancelled - this season has had bad ratings and CBS has said if there isn't marked improvement they'll be gone. Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency has been renewed. Marco Polo has been cancelled. Masters of Sex has been cancelled. Z Nation has been officially renewed. Hix
Officially Renewed The Middle Empire This Is Us (for a second and third season) Arrow Jane the Virgin Supergirl Supernatural The Flash Black Mirror Major Crimes The Librarians Officially Cancelled Blunt Talk Hix
I'm watching a new series at the moment called 'Imposters', which is a comedy thriller about a woman who cons men into marrying her, and then skips town with their money. It's very good!
I have sort of lost interest in this season of Walking Dead, and will probably binge watch the remaining episodes at the end of the season.
There's been a lot of activity at the American networks over the past couple of months. Here's the latest in renewals and cancellations: Officially Renewed Fresh Off the Boat Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Modern Family (for a further two seasons) Once Upon a Time The Goldbergs (for two seasons) The Big Bang Theory (for two seasons) Bluebloods Bull Code Black Criminal Minds Elementary The Good Fight (The Good Wife spinoff) Hawaii Five-0 Kevin Can Wait Life in Pieces MacGuyver Madam Secretary Mom NCIS:LA NCIS: New Orleans Scorpion Gotham Last Man on Earth New Girl (for a seventh and final season) The X-Files The Blacklist Blindspot Chicago Fire Chicago Med Chicago P.D. Law and Order: SVU iZombie Officially Cancelled: Last Man Standing Secrets and Lies 2 Broke Girls Son of Zorn The Blacklist: Redemption Emerald City Hix
Officially Renewed Quantico (for a shorter third season) Family Guy Officially Cancelled Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders Scream Queens Chicago Justice Apple Music's Carpool Karaoke will debut in August, on Apple Music's streaming service only and you'll need to pay $10 a month to download them. And the Lost in Space reboot will not be gracing our screens until next year sometime. Hix
Sense8 got cancelled and I'm still angry about it! I knew the show wouldn't last long, but I at least want a proper ending!
Shows that I'm currently watching The Yorkshire Vet The Bronx Zoo Family Guy Simpsons Archer Nature documentaries Walking with dinosaurs Gator boys The Secret life of the Zoo Expecting soon Season three of Bojack Horseman on Netflix I'm thinking about watching Rick and Morty what is everyone's opinion on it and is it worth watching?
I'm angry about this too, it was one of the very best shows I've ever watched, and its frustrating to end on that ending - hopefully someone else picks it up or can finish that part of the story off with a movie or something.
Rick and Morty is fantastic! It's a very smart and funny show. You definitely gotta check it out. A movie wouldn't be enough to wrap up all of the stuff they set up, but it would at least be something. (if nothing else, wrap up the most important stuff) I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to continue the story in comics, that kind of thing is very common these days. Wouldn't be the same as the super amazing show, but at least we'd know what happens next.
