Female hippo Suzie has died: https://taronga.org.au/news/2016-06-30/vale-suzie-hippo TWPZ is now left with 2.3 common hippo (males Happy and Mana; females Nile, Cuddles and Kibibi).
A good age / longevity for a hippo. Just hope they do something serious with their common hippo now. The current family is too closely related. It would be nice to have some exhanges and transfers in- / outside TWZP.
Didn't they get a female from Cairns Safari when they closed? I assume she would be unrelated to the others although she might have had a calf since she arrived there, I'm not sure which female she is by name.

Apparently a new Zebra has been born, but I cant see that the zoo has done a media release on it yet. Brings the breeding herd to 8 (I think....) Do they have other zebras there also?
