Can anyone out there confirm or deny the appearance of a UK zoo nerd (who I'm sure posts on here) on The Chase? I saw this via a very brief clip, where they were answering a question about Lammergeier, on this week's Charlie Brooker's Weekly Wipe. Will the person themselves comment and tell us about the experience?
This was some time ago - either Charlie Brooker was a repeat or he's behind the times! It's a great appearance.
UK Zoo Nerd.... Not seen this before. Seen him though, great bloke, got his book (well, one of them).
Thanks for everyone's swift replies, the you-tube clip confirms my suspicions. The show did have some "recycled" bits but I think the sequence (The Case summed up in X seconds) was new but (obviously now) featuring some old footage.
Quite a lot of UK Zoochatters will know him as soon as they see it - he's a well-known and very knowledgeable chap (and writes a mean Facebook status..!).
Oh, we know exactly *who* he is - the uncertainty is whether he has an account or not quite a few of us know or have met him, he's a top bloke and well-known in the zoo enthusiast community.
He certainly does appear here, occasionally - and will hopefully do so again, on this thread, soon! Did he go on to win the big lump of cash?
This is not the only quiz show this guy has appeared on,as everyone else has said he is a top bloke,and have to agree with maguari he does indeed write a mean facebook status!
