    Hi every1,

(Just a short note to say that the in-formal meeting at chester on the 31st will not be happening as me and Haz-Cat can not make it)

Anyway, i recently found out that the meeting in October is strictly a barlett society meeting so i have decided to organise a meeting in Chester Zoo (mainly for none barlett society members) ovbiously barlett society members are welcome to join. I was thinking having it in November-December time but if it's too early for some members we could have it next year. So i'll just let u all discuss when and stuff and we don't have to rush into things we can just discuss it slowly

The barlett society meeting just happened to be in a similar time frame, doesn't mean anyone else can meet up.

However I think a few members where actually pointing to the fact that the style of get together and things proposed is very similar to the barlett society, maybe to drum up more interest in the society or to point out there is other ways of meeting like minded individuals.

    Good Point!
We could chose a colour to wear e.g green or we can hold empty Zoo bags.
(we can just ask for a carrier bag in the zoo's gift shops, i'm sure they'll give us one)

    We can create t-shirts our-selves.
All we need to do is print a logo of ZooChat and then iorn it on.
My mum knows how to do it!
I'll post how to do it on this thread soon
But yet again having t-shirts may put people off coming, feeling they have to make/buy a t-shirt so i don't think it's such a good idea!

alternatively you could send a private message to whom ever you are meeting then agree to meet in a certain place at a certain time and talk!

Just a little advice, but why don't you do it in a similar way to how the US members did theirs?

Create a poll with a wide range of dates on them and allow potential attendees to choose the dates that they could make. Once the poll is closed, then the date which has the most votes is the date for the meeting.

As for a meeting place, choose somewhere appropriate such as the main entrance, tsavo cafe or the guest service kiosk rather than someone's favourite enclosure because you'll no doubt be visiting that enclosure again at some point in the day

No, but Chester has a good range of species and plenty to see also i can't travel far because of work so i'd say Chester would be our best bet.

If people want to meet up, they can organise this at another park. There is plenty of people on this forum that our no where near Chester but have a few people who live around them.

whos our???, like taun said, many people (including me) can't travel to Chester, You should have made a poll to decide which is the easist zoo for us all! Just because you can't travel anywere other than chester, dosn't mean we can't travel anywhere other than Chester! We should have had a poll, to decied what zoo it would be at! Mabey the Members want it at another zoo, so maby that means you wouldn't be able to come!
