Interesting to note that all collections that I know of closed so far (Belfast, Tilgate, Camperdown) are council run. Obviously they have a different ethos and/or probably better financial safety net sthan non-publicly owned collections (I suppose the workers are treated the same as other council workers).
You are right, I think most Council run public attractions are closed as of 5pm tonight, my council has now closed its museum and I think the privately managed leisure centres won't be far behind
Amazonia (in Motherwell) has announced on Facebook that they are temporarily laying off staff and closing due to a coronavirus-related fall in revenue
WWT has issued a notice to supporters. The centres will remain open, but will require contactless payments or members to read out their membership numbers. Events, talks, displays etc are cancelled but restaurants will remain open with increased separation between tables and other measures (depending on the layout of each establishment). Hand sanitisers will be available throughout the grounds.
add lotherton hall to the list The Hall, Wildlife World, shops and cafe are closed but the gardens have stayed open. Free entry for anybody wanting a stroll around the garden.
Not quite zoo related but please be aware that ALL RSPB reserve centres and ALL hides are now closed but access to the reserves remain open.
