A simple nasal swab and testing cannot be completed within the zoo. Read also carefully it has nowhere been determined the individual that died was stricken with this disease. Speculative for now. Final: The other lions affected are both over 20 years old, even in Europe or N.America these would be considered geriatric individuals with probable various age related illness and likely in end of life stages.

Two Indian Spotted Chevrotain have been born at Vandalur. The zoo initially started with 2.3 animals from Hyderabad arriving in July 2017.
