The Vivarium de Lausanne has received a female Komodo dragon from Prague zoo, the only dragon in Switzerland.
The dragon arrived in style, flown over on the private jet of the owner of Sion FC.

The vivarium is announcing the first official hatching of West African crocodiles (Crocodylus suchus) in Europe, 6 have been hatched.
A couple of Mississippi paddlefish have recently arrived.

Apparently the Vivarium has already been closed for about half a year on its current site. About 2/3s of the animals will be moved to a newly built facility in Lausanne, which is set to open at Easter 2017 and will also be an aquarium.

Great news! Allthough it is not the official hatching of C. suchus as that honor should come to Kobenhavn Zoo instead.

I am also expecting before long Kobenhavn Zoo might breed their suchus once more and know it the full knowledge that they are a separate species.

Recently Pierrelatte should have started with exhibiting a breeding group ....
