Well the visitor doesn't really walk within the enclosure so not sure it counts unless one can safely walk in the enclosure and meat the animals. It's a drive through?
The Apenhuis/Forest house in Artis used to house multiple animals prior to Corona. Several have already been mentioned in this thread but white-faced sakis and ground cuscuses haven't been mentioned yet. Eventhough the walkthrough enclosure used to house two ground cuscuses at some point, you barely saw them. I almost forgot to mention the sugar glider(s) and gray mouse lemurs that also used to live in that enclosure.
Speaking of mouse lemurs, although not that relevant, the Masoala Halle in Zürich has over 90 of them. They're pretty much invisible but still, a rather impressive number.
Sorry i dont have any Pictures, but hopefully i can visit it again and make some. Mouflon walkthroughs are Not that rare Here in Germany you can find them in many Wildlife Parks.
The Fort Worth Zoo has a pretty neat coastal aviary walkthrough in Texas Wild, and the World Of Primates is also a tropical aviary. They thirdly have a parakeet aviary where you can buy seed sticks. The Dallas Zoo also has an aviary like the latter one at Fort Worth in addition to the African rainforest aviary. The Dallas World Aquarium has birds and monkeys that hang around on the bridge over Monkey Island.
Free roamers I can remember off the top of my head would be. Newquay zoo - mara and a species of marmoset but I can't remember which. Was not intentional but the couldn't contain an individual on its island so let it roam free. Paignton zoo - golden lion tamarin and pygmy marmoset but not any longer I believe. Longleat - the monkey temple type area is sort of free roaming? I think they rotate a few species red handed tamarin, geoffroys marmoset and cotton top tamarin? Walk through Paignton zoo - various birds on the desert and rainforest areas. I think hoopee are one? Lemur Wood - red ruff, red fronted and ring tail lemur I believe. They have/had a walk through kangaroo and emu enclosure. They had a walk through Rodriguez flying fox avary but that's gone. Longleat Lemur walk though with ringtail lemur. They had a wallaby walk through not sure if still there. They have a walk thru lory exhibit with nectar feeding. They had a good walk thru butterfly House but that's gone. They have a walk through meerkat enclosure. Living coast Had a walk through penguin enclosure with other sea birds. Cricket St Thomas Had 2 walk through lemur woods. I think I remember black lemur, black and white ruff, red fronted and ringtail. They had a walk through rainforest exhibit with various birds and goeldis monkey. I believe London zoo are opening a walk through colobus exhibit. Disney animal kingdom I remember walking though many avarys so lots of birds and I believe a species of flying fox. Sea world discovery Cove. I did some sort of keeper experience many years ago and remember walking through/handling with tamandua and two toed sloth. Of course there are the many peafowl/chicken/sheep/goat areas also.
Was this in a real walkthrough or was this a guided backstage experience? Because tamandua's can be dangerous
Tamanduas were kept in a walkthrough exhibit at Colchester Zoo, I think they might still have them so they can be kept in walkthroughs.
I can't find any pictures of it. But very interesting indeed! Appearently there's also one in London zoo!
