    Guess I’ll start this Zoo’s very first thread. In order to maintain its ZAA accreditation, the Zoo is looking to improve its big cat exhibits. But the price tag turned out to be higher than expected, and now the Zoo has to weigh out its options.

    On March 11th, the zoo announced that (0.0.2) common marmosets have been born.

    On March 15th, the zoo announced that a (0.0.1) Bennett's wallaby was born sometime in 2021 and has made its public debut.

    On April 4th, due to an outbreak of avian influenza, the zoo announced that they have moved some of their birds off exhibit while moving others inside protected exhibits. The zoo also announced that said illness might cause delays in the opening of the bird exhibits.

    On April 11th, the zoo announced they are going to expand their African lions and Bengal tigers exhibits with a $1.6 million dollar expansion. Work will begin soon as the zoo has released more concept art.

    On May 20th, after a decline of cases of avian influenza, the zoo announced that the parrots, Red Barn birds, birds in the upper aviary, and some raptors will return to their exhibits while their parakeets, island ducks, and other raptors will stay off exhibit.

    On June 30th, the zoo announced that their parakeets and cockatiels in the Wings of Wonder area are now back on exhibit.

    Also on June 30th, the zoo announced that a (1.0) llama named Nitro has passed away on June 19th due to a decline in health. He was 13 years old at the time of passing.

    On July 1st, the zoo announced that starting July 5th, the area around the African lion and tiger exhibits will be closed due to their exhibit expansions which will be completed in 3-4 months.

    On July 15th, the zoo announced that (0.0.5) poison dart frogs (species not specified) were born.

    On July 19th, the zoo announced that (0.0.2) more common marmosets were born and are on exhibit in the Engineers Castle.

    On July 29th, the zoo announced that they will close for 5 days in mid-September due to making repairs and renovations in the Jungle Building.

    Also on July 29th, they announced that the new African lion and "Bengal" tiger exhibit, now named Big Cat Canyon, will open to the public on April 1st, 2023.

    On August 5th, the zoo announced they have gotten accreditation from the American Association of Zoo Keepers.

    On March 31st, the zoo announced that a (0.0.1) domestic zebu was born on March 29th.

    On April 7th, the zoo announced that they opened the African lion and "Bengal" tiger exhibits to the public, as it is 98% complete (minor stuff like adding climbing decks for the cats and planting projects which will be completed by May 1st).
