One honest question: who knows the Weifang Zoo in the Chinese province of Shandong? I personally had great trouble finding this zoo in google maps. Here are some facts about this zoo:
After the city of Weifang had decided in early 2004 to transform the People's Park into a large green area, the approx. 140 animals that used to live here were transported to the Amusement Park Jinbao Paradise, which was opened in 1996.

On January 11, 2011, the previous Jinbao Paradise zoo was renamed Weifang Zoo. Sibirian tigers, Lions, Brown Bears, Macaques, Sika Deer and Red-crowned Cranes are already here. Sibirian tigers have been born here several times (12 births from 2011 to 2013). On November 19, 2012, the zoo received 7 Tibetan Mastiff (a short-haired dog breed from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau). In 2014, 5.1 zebras were purchased for the first time.

Of course, the giant pandas, which are extremely popular in China in particular, should not be missing: in 2010, a 1,200 m² giant panda hall was completed for this purpose. On the 27th of September 2010 the two pandas "Qinchuan" & "Lele" from Shaanxi arrive. Both animals were returned according to the 2012 appointment. (The giant panda "Lele" lives by the way from 29.09.2012 to 15.07.2013 in Xi'an Qinling Wildlife Park).
Again on 29.09.2013 2 Giant Pandas came to Weifang: "Rongrong" & "Xingrui". Both animals left Weifang again in 2016.

A major innovation took place in 2013 with the completion of the Primate Exhibition House. Among others, Squirrel Monkeys, Patas Monkeys, Crab-eating Monkeys, Gibbons and Greater Spot-nosed Monkeys are living here.
