The new Austrian "Lockdown Light" guidelines are kinda confusing: museums are allowed to open on the 7th of December, while zoos are only allowed to re-open their outdoor exhibits on the 24th of December, with the rest closed till the 6th of January, 2021.
Since WdG is both a museum and a zoo (like the closeby HdN that opens on the 7th), I'm a bit confused what applies to us. And so are the officials whom I've contacted for clearance...

It has been quite a journey, but it was worth it: today, two additional cobra, two new spider and three new scorpion species have been added to the WdG.

The Phyllobates terribilis specimens died in 2019. In a new, larger venue, I'd like to keep a larger group in a nice show tank.
The two female Sicarius spiders are alive and doing well; I forgot to c & p them from my data sheet.

I finally got an official federal reply whether I'm allowed to open again this month. The answer was:
The next possible opening date has been delayed from early January 2021 to mid-January 2021, for whatever reason they deem fit.
    Great...

@German Zoo World I've answered this very question several times in the WdG threads. I already keep two species of venomous fish in the exhibition. I might add new species if a future venue allows for it. But most certainly no live shrews, solenodons, male platypuses etc.

Pity :p I've seen annulifera but not annulata!

Also a pity to note from your list that you no longer have the saw-scaled viper of which you spoke so glowingly......

And nope, the Echis coloratus is still there. "Glowing" as usual...

And that's why I don't have any additional venomous fish. :D

So much about messing with me...Guess who's laughing now while you're scratching your heads in confusion?:D:D:D
