Good on Werribee Open Range Zoo for taking a nothing to hide approach and announcing the successful birth of four cubs, and the stillbirth of a fifth cub, a perfectly natural occurance both in the wild and in zoos. Hopefully there'll be at least one female cub in the litter. Will be interesting to see how they handle introductions to Nilo's three male cubs which will be almost 18 months by the time Nairibi's litter are ready to meet the pride. Obviously quite an unatural age gap as zoos usually mirror the wild pattern by breeding their lionesses within a few weeks/months of each other.
