Hi, what do the decimal in the number of species mean? Like example an would be of 1.1 Jaguars
The number before the decimal point is the number of males: the number after the decimal point is the number of females
So, to use your example, 1.1 jaguars means one male and one female.
Sometimes a second decimal point is used: for example 1.3.4. This means one male, three females and four of unknown sex.
Separate names with a comma.
