What are the ways to list animals?

    Hi, what do the decimal in the number of species mean? Like example an would be of 1.1 Jaguars

    The number before the decimal point is the number of males: the number after the decimal point is the number of females

    So, to use your example, 1.1 jaguars means one male and one female.

    Sometimes a second decimal point is used: for example 1.3.4. This means one male, three females and four of unknown sex.
