My new profile picture is of... well a derpy fish. It is actually from a comic that is not appropriate for this website.

Mine is Kolya, the male Amur Leopard at the Staten Island Zoo. I change my Avatar from time to time but most always it is him. He is my favorite.

Four, 2500 gallon tanks. One Atlantic, one Pacific, one "reef", and one "tropical freshwater".

It was completed. The tanks are nice but this is a small zoo so there this section is likewise modest.

If I recall correctly somewhere on here he said it was a Eurasian otter (Lutra lutra).

I'm just discovering ZooChat Cafe for the first time!

Mine is a picture of my pug Otto sleeping on "blue books," empty, lined college examination booklets. I bred 8 generations of pugs for medical soundness for over 20 years and have been a college English professor for nearly 30 years; these are two facets of my life that represent me well and that I guess I'm proud of. What's really sweet, though, is that Otto will begrudgingly let me do schoolwork instead of devoting myself entirely to him and his niece, but he simply MUST sleep on the schoolwork that accumulates beside my legs, always in bodily contact with me! His barely audible snores bring my worlds together.:)
