Being that ungulates are my favorite animal group, ungulate nerd was a nickname someone gave me. 1992 was the year that I was born, so UngulateNerd92 is perfectly fitting.

No. I am intrigued. What is in Detroit? I regret to say that I have not ventured for from Illinois and Wisconsin. Hoping to branch out more this year as I will have more free time.

The Detroit Zoo has a massive collection of amphibians, including the only Stout Salamanders in North America, among other things. Make sure to bring a red flashlight to help you locate all the rare species.

Toledo Zoo has a pretty nice amphibian collection, as well, including the only Conant's Mushroom-tongue Salamanders in captivity.
