In a zoo that has a propensity for over-using mock rock and some pretty ugly buildings this one certainly takes the cake!! IMHO probably one of the most ugly zoo structures I have seen. Maybe a new thread on the ugliest buildings at zoos around the world? This would have to rate highly. Scary to think though that this is a brand new, modern and undoubtably hugely expensive building and it is the best that they can come up with.
hmmmm, im not a huge fan of it so far, though it is unfinished and is supposed to have plants growing from some sections of the wall. hope it breaks it up a little, i know they were supposed to build something which would blend into the bush if seen from the harbour but jeez, this looks interesting. as for the fountains i dont mind. they'll keep the water circulating and add a bit of interest, and the zoo wont need to salt the water to keep it from going green
