I'm not really an aquarium person but I think my favourite would be either the Horniman or Brighton aquariums in the UK probably.

I love Shedd, too. Given that many consider to be the best aquarium in the world I wonder why it isn't on the poll?

I think this poll is for aquariums that are an exhibit in a zoo, rather than their own facility.

If this thread is restricted to aquariums within zoos, then my favourite would be the Berlin Zoo Aquarium (probably followed by the Stuttgart Zoo Aquarium).

    Really? It's a room...

Didn't think the UK was that bad for aquariums, although to be fair it is rather short of them. ;)

It terms of zoo aquariums, definitely Berlin Zoo Aquarium. in terms of aquariums in general, probably Valencia.

Yeah really , I just like the entire museum and its ambience and the addition of the aquarium, I dont care that it isn't some kind of million dollar aquarium with tiger sharks and dolphins or whatever.

In the US, I'd have to go with either Omaha or Pittsburgh. Probably Omaha, but it's difficult for me to compare - I hate crowds and Omaha was packed with screaming children, while at Pittsburgh I was the only person in the entire building other than workers.

Definitely the Georgia Aquarium for me. The exhibits are just beautiful, especially Ocean Voyager. There’s also a lot of rarities found nowhere else in the U.S. such as the Whale Sharks and the manta rays.

Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium (a fine aquarium building within a zoo).

Ok for aquarium exhibits in zoos Singapore River Safari has some of the best aquariums with their Amazon Flooded Forest and Rivers of the World sections. Zoo Miami also has some great aquariums in their Florida Mission Everglades and Amazon Rising sections.

Now that the thread has changed to "favorite aquarium" from "favorite zoo aquarium", my choice is Monterey Bay Aquarium.

To date my favourite aquarium is the Blue Planet Aquarium.

I re-visited this year and I managed to count 114 species with some highlights such as Chalceus erythrurus and Crenicichla compressiceps.

I also love the different zones with such a wide variety of species in each and on my second walk around I noticed even more.
