I was naming people in the MCU that had superpowers at birth or discovered them before remembering that Pietro and Wanda were experimented on to give them powers.

Peter Quill, Gamora, Nebula, and Rocket have all had advancements beyond normal members of their species in the movies. Groot and Mantis are probably normal for their species, Drax I'm still not sure on but he's possibly just a real strong guy on his homeland.

So we're less than 12 hours from the first Disney produced MCU TV show... Got to be said, I'm well excited for WandaVision! First bit of MCU content since Far From Home, it's been too long Marvel, too bloody long! :D

Since Black Widow has finally been released it's time for an update. :)

    24. Iron Man 3
    23. Incredible Hulk
    22. Black Panther
    21. Thor
    20. Winter Soldier
    19. Iron Man 2
    18. Black Widow
    17. Iron Man
    16. The First Avenger
    15. Doctor Strange
    14. Ant-Man & The Wasp
    13. Age Of Ultron
    12. The Dark World
    11. Far From Home
    10. Captain Marvel
    9. Ant-Man
    8. Spider-Man:Homecoming
    7. Civil War
    6. Avengers
    5. Guardians Volume 2
    4. Guardians Of The Galaxy
    3. Infinity War
    2. Ragnarok
    1. Endgame

And my ranking of the MCU TV shows so far is as follows -

    3. WandaVision (Started out promising, delivered so little)
    2. Falcon & The Winter Soldier (Typical Marvel action with a surprising amount of subtext buried (and forced) in there)
    1. Loki (Best by a mile, delivered all the way through and even the filler episode was pretty entertaining. Glad it's been renewed for a second season)

I'll be back in September after Shang-Chi and What If.. are released! :D

I actually found Black Widow to be fairly good so I'd be interested to hear your criticisms.

My main criticism is it was released when it was no longer relevant, and even if it had been released last year when it was supposed to be then I'd argue that was three years too late. It was clearly made to be released before Falcon & Winter Soldier as well and that shows, the post-credits scene would have been far more impactful and the hyped "big cameo" in TF&TWS would have made far more sense.

I enjoyed the film mostly (It's an MCU property so I was going to watch and enjoy it anyway), but it was a bit underwhelming for Marvel's return to the big screen, especially with Loki being the greatest thing on Disney+ and BW being released in between it's final two episodes. Again I liked it, it was just released far too late in my opinion. :)

    B B B B B B B B B B, WWWWW what you on mate!

Iron Man (the first) is top, the others are rank, agreed. Iron Man I in the top 5 or 6, the others I wouldn't list!

As Simpsons Comic Man would say - "Worst Marvel film ever = Iron Man 2"

I need a full reply to this SOOOOOO much, especially regarding your defence of Iron Man 3 and total distaste for IM2... A pm maybe sent early in the morning asking to explaining/justifying your reasoning for your personal ranking... :p

You got any rankings off the shows so far?)

Finished Black Widow about 30 minutes ago, here are my initial thoughts.

    24. Thor: The Dark World
    23. Black Widow
    22. Thor
    21. Black Panther
    20. The Incredible Hulk
    19. Iron Man 2
    18. Captain American: The First Avenger
    17. Iron Man
    16. Doctor Strange
    15. Iron Man 3
    14. Captain Marvel
    13. Spider-Man: Homecoming
    12. Avengers: Age of Ultron
    11. Guardian of the Galaxy 2
    10. Ant-Man and the Wasp
    9. Spider-Man: Far From Home
    8. Ant-Man
    7. Avengers
    6. Captain America: The Winter Solider
    5. Captain America: Civil War
    4. Thor: Ragnarok
    3. Avengers: Endgame
    2. Guardians of the Galaxy
    1. Avengers: Infinity War

I honestly liked Black Widow but I wish they made it differently. I feel it should have been more akin to an 80s spy thriller, which is how I feel The Winter Solider felt, rather than more of a generic filler superhero flick. I'm sure they'll expand on some elements/characters in the future but for now it feels like not-so-necessary backstory to a deceased character.

Also here is my Disney+ series ranking:
    3. The Falcon & Winter Soldier
    2. WandaVision
    1. Loki

I haven't seen Black Widow, but I feel like they should have really leaned all the way into the fan-theory that she came from the Russian ballet-mafia from John Wick.

I've not got a full on ranking top to bottom, but.....

Top few = Endgame, Ragnarok, 1st Avengers film, Iron Man (one!), Dr Strange & Guardians of the Galaxy Films

Bottom few = The 'other' Thor films, Iron Man 3, Ant Man & Wasp.

Bottom of the pile = Iron Man 2

and Iron Man is certainly one of my favourite characters of all time, both films & comics.

I'd agree with most of that, but both Iron Man movies would be in the bottom half. Only one film truly isn't good in my opinion which is Iron Man 3, with everything else being at least okay in some respects.

There are some big gaps in your watch history though, are you sure you're not just @Chlidonias in disguise... :p

Deadpool for me, always has been so I was obviously gutted when X-Men:Origins came out. Thank god Ryan Reynolds got the chance to bring him to the big screen properly. Out of every comic book portrayal (Marvel/DC/Dark Horse/Image) Reynold's is probably the most comics accurate I've ever seen. :)

That sounds like the Transformers song.

I counted and I think I've only seen 14 or 15 of the MCU movies. Best one is Ragnarok. I don't really have a worst one because I kind of liked all the ones I've seen, so I'll just say Iron Man because neither Thor nor Nebula was in it.

Yep, my watch history is chaos!
Yep, Deadpool is super cool and I really agree Ryan Reynolds nailed the character. Did you know that Thanos didn't like Deadpool much at all?

I remember that song now, watching Optimus Prime and his buddies.

Transformers, robots in disguise. Transformers, more than meets the eye.

All over a Lady as well, and they could have been such good friends! :p Deadpool also stole the Thanoscopter but I don't think that's actually canon... :D

I liked Shang-Chi but having only seen it once then I'm waiting to see it again before I place it. Not sure I'd go quite that high with it but it's probably hovering around number 10-12 for me on a single watch.

Time for an update since BW. I've not seen Shang-Chi yet. I have rewatched the bulk of these films since my last listing hence the changes.

    23) Iron Man 3 (-1)
    22) Captian Marvel (+1)
    21) Thor (-2)
    20) GotG Vol. 2 (-6)
    19) GotG Vol. 1 (-7)
    18) Iron Man 2 (-9)
    17) Thor: TDW (no change)
    16) Ant Man and the Wasp (+2)
    15) Spiderman: Homecoming (+1)
    14) Black widow (new addition)
    13) Ant Man (+2)
    12) Spiderman : FFH (+1)
    11) Captain America: Civil War (-3)
    10) Doctor Strange (-3)
    9) Iron Man (-3)
    8) Avengers: Endgame (-4)
    7) Avengers: Age of Ultron (-4)
    6) Captain America: TFA (+15)
    5) Captain America: The Winter Solider (+6)
    4) Avengers: Infinity War (+1)
    3) Black Panther (+7)
    2) Avengers: Assemble (-1)
    1) Thor: Ragnarock (+1)

Biggest change by far was Captain America : TFA. Really underestimated how much I enjoyed that film. The largest collective fall is the GotG films, they are fun but I'm not a huge fan of the guardians themselves.

I find it difficult to make a list, mainly because I've seen so many MCU movies, but the best MCU movies I've seen are Spiderman: Homecoming and Avengers: Endgame, although I haven't seen Captain America: Civil War, which is supposed to be good and might be 1 of my favorites. I think the worst movie is The Incredible Hulk and at 2 probably Captain America: The First Avenger (though I don't think this one is too bad and it's not exactly a bad movie). I think rather there happens too little in Iron Man (1) and Avengers: Infinity War, but these movies are not soo bad. The poorer quality of Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk can, I think, be explained by the fact that Marvel had not yet been taken over.
