I'm the only Hungarian member who posts regularly here. And I guess only my cap has eaten by a goat:D
Oh, and I think I'm the only ZooChatter who has never had a pet!

I have a German passport. And a sense of humor.

I can't remember the species of cobra I touched. The cobra was in a snake farm in Bangkok. I kept looking at another enclosure that supposedly had a flying lemur. The animal was a giant flying squirrel. Very attractive, but not a flying lemur

Has any other Zoochatter spent a long time watching a long-beaked echidna walking around its enclosure? I did this to count the number of claws on each forefoot. The animal was labelled as a Bruijn's echidna, but I counted 5 toes per forefoot (not 3 or 4). The animal was later identified as a Barton's echidna, which has 5 toes per forefoot.

"What do you do in your weekend?"
"Nothing special, just trying to count the number of claws on the long-beaked echidna"
    "Understandable, have a great day"

I remember hearing from someone else who thought the long-beaked echidna wasn't a Bruijn's echidna. I once joined an online Monotreme and Marsupial Group. The only thing the others wanted to discuss was an episode of Coronation Street

Well it was the episode where a kowari, a dribbler and a monito del Monte were thrown out of “The Rovers Return” !

Perhaps it was because the dibbler was a dribbler. It's a pity the football transfer window has closed. There is a definite shortage of marsupials playing in the Premier League, ever since Metathere United were demoted in the Early Tertiary

In India, I'm guessing snake charmers defang their snakes, as the one I saw was very enthusiastic about me touching it (for a price of course). No I didn't because I wasn't keen on encouraging this practise.
