Is this to save money by not having to feed it? What's the purpose of it?

    Stupid question - what's this ?? - 20 November 2010 | ZooChat

Additional comments: A harsh 1 point deduction for the spikes not being sharp enough and the lack of thick stalks.

Surely it should gain a point for not smelling like one though :p

I think I'd have to give them an extra 100 realism points if they ever started letting off stink bombs near them :D

Since you are doing fake animals, I know Habitat Africa: The Forest at Brookfield Zoo has a fake Great Blue Turacco

It just stares down at you as you're trying to view the Fly River Turtles. I think it's supposed to entertain small children. There are real goats nearby.

Another one that should be brought onto here is the wooden pangolin statue at Roger Williams, though there appear to be no photos of it on the site currently. Perhaps @Bird Lover can try and get one on his next visit?

Durian actually don't smell that bad. The only bad thing is people won't talk to you within a few hours.

I will do it but it might be a while it's probably buried in snow.

    artificial kangaroo carcasse | ZooChat

Additional comments: It might be good for fake carcasses in zoos not to look too realistic, otherwise you may get some horrified visitor wondering, "what the hell happened to that poor kangaroo and why are they feeding it to the Tasmanian devils?".

    However...

The kangaroo carcasse is used for feeding the devils. The meat is placed inside the body cavity (hence the wire which can be seen in there).
