Realizing that not-visiting Madrid, means that I also won't see quite a big number of venomous snakes in Madrid's zoos/aquariums, what would be the best places in Europe to see great or greatest diversity of venomous snakes, and good-exhibition of these snakes? Zoos/reptilaria that comes on my mind: -Plzen zoo -Berlin zoo -Prague zoo -Tierpark Berlin -Lausanne vivarium -Best zoo -Moscow zoo -Cologne zoo ??
The venomous snake collection at Moscow Zoo can only be seen behind the scenes. The Reptilienzoo Nockalm (Austria) and the Gifttierhaus Eimsheim (Germany) should be added to your list; I'd even dare to say that the first has currently the greatest variety of species. Dvorec Zoo (cobras), Terrazoo Rheinberg/Sontra, Reptilienzoo Landau, Randers, Tropicario Helsinki and a few others also keep (and sometimes breed) a varying amount of hot snakes. The collections at Berlin aren't what they used to be.
Budapest has got many venomous snakes, too. Here you can see Gabon viper, Surucucu, Hungarian steppe viper, Green mamba, Black mamba, Uraco crotalus etc. I offer Budapest, it worth a visit after COVID.
