A lion and a dog are not that unusual, there was the one aboiut a hippo and a tortoise, a rhino and a goat....
Until recently, there was a sanctuary in Arizona that had an almost two year old male lion living with a Coyote. Unfortunately, they recently found out the male was actually a hermaphrodite and had a list of medical issues and died a couple of days ago during an operation. They had been featured on a couple of TV programs.
Dogs and big cats From experience I have known a Rhodesian Ridgeback that was raised with a tiger and the two got along their entire lives. The dog died at about thirteen years of age.
