I wonder if they have built a new enclosure for them, or if they have replaced something else? When I was there a couple of months ago there was one lion enclosure with an adult pair, and two tiger enclosures with one in each. Unless they are going to rotate animals on display they will have had to build a new exhibit for these two.
"Crocodylus is now the seventh Australian zoo with white lions:" National Zoo; Mogo Zoo; Darling Downs Zoo; Mansfield Zoo; Zoodoo Wildlife Park; Altina Wildlife Park; Crocodylus Park Most of these only hold males or older non breeding pairs - Mogo and ZooDoo breed theirs, National have an old pair and bachelor males, Altina have an old pair and Mansfield and now Crocodylus have spare males, Darling Downs have a pair that haven't yet bred?
is the following all correct (anyone)? I'm not sure on the pair at Canberra - were they imported? *Mogo Zoo – 1.2 imported in 2004 from South Africa (many bred since) *National – 6 males from Mogo in 2008 – was there also 1.1 imported 2008 or 2009? (the ones called Jake and Mishka) *Zoodoo – 2.2 imported late 2009 from South Africa (in collaboration with DDZ) (two litters since) *DDZ – 1.1 in early 2010 from Zoodoo (leaving them with 1.1 at the time) (one cub bred) *Mansfield – 2 males from National Zoo in 2012 (2 of the 6 National had got in 2008 from Mogo) *Altina – 1.1 from Mogo in 2012 (two of the original imports from 2004) *Crocodylus – 2 males from Zoodoo in 2014
