    My name is Alan Ashby and I am a zooaholic. I was at Chessington, 21/4/18; Hamerton 7/7/18; Antwerp 8/9/18. Rehab isn't working.

    I've definitely met Crowthorne (at Rare Species) and Mr Zootycoon (at Zie Zoo). I'm sure I've walked past or stood next to many others....

    I'm sure I saw you at Pairi Daiza on 10/9/18 (and also possibly Planckendael on 9/918).

    Maybe you forgot about it for some reason :))) but you've got to realise the first step to being cured of an addiction is being honest about it with yourself.

    None, but if there are any Detroiters who want to arrange a meet up, say something.

    Well adding to the list we now have:

    @ThylacineAlive
    @stubeanz
    @KevinVar

    The new top five I’d like to meet in person are:

    @Vision
    @lintworm
    @Batto
    @FunkyGibbon
    @Brum (since we keep missing each other!)

    After having a nightmare with family problems this year (All solved! :D) I'm pretty sure I can manage one early next year, pretty much as soon as I've paid for Christmas presents! ;)

    My list is still the same, but now I've missed @ShonenJake13 twice, and I've snubbed @ThylacineAlive, revenge is mine! Mwahahahaha! :p

    Nah seriously, next year is going to be different, all issues should be resolved and next year should* see me leaving the country twice, including my first ever intercontinental trip! ;):D

    *finances/new job dependent! :)

    I mean, I still don't know if I will be able to meet you this time if you leave the country (assuming your plans are still the same) :p

    My plans are broadly similar but it may be a different state, one you've previously been to, and is a damn sight more expensive... Depends on whether my host moves before the summer, his wife has a new job down South! ;)

    And sorry for the double post but I forgot the five on my to meet list.

    @ThylacineAlive
    @ShonenJake13
    @Crowthorne
    @pipaluk

    All four have been missed opportunities this year, so I'd like to actually say hello. I've seen pipaluk and crowthorne in passing but didn't realise who pipaluk was at the time, and crowthorne seemed quite shy/overwhelmed so thought I'd give her some space.

    As for number five it's a toss up between @Chlidonias, @FunkyGibbon, @snowleopard, @vogelcommando or @LaughingDove. There's plenty of others but these are the people I've spent time conversing with on the forum and have opinions I respect.

    An honourary mention goes to @sooty mangabey, whilst our paths have crossed we've never really had a proper conversation in person.

    Yeah, the others are feasible with snowleopard coming to Europe next year, Funky making regular trips home, and the others being based in Europe... Unless of course you come to our green and pleasant (at times) land... We've got badgers, and red squirrels, and, erm, seals, and puffins. Youve probably seen our other wildlife on your trips in Oz, New Zealand and across Asia! :p Maybe not quite worth the 18 hour flight, but if ever come over to see wild keas or kiwis, maybe even check out a kakapo then I'll be sure to let you know! ;)

    I've probably seen @DragonDust101 at the Turtleback zoo, either I didn't notice him/he didn't notice me or this was before my Zoochatting career.

    Heck, I might have even seen @savethelephant and/or @ThylacineAlive since I've been to both environments.

    The only zoochatter I've met is lintworm who I'm still most grateful to for improving my experience of visiting Basel back in 2016. However there is an individual who has twice started chatting with me at Antwerp based on the fact that we both use Olympus cameras - I wonder who that might be?

    I reckon I saw @migdog on a visit to Hamerton taking photos at the Maned wolf enclosure. It was at a point where I was checking in here during the visit in a vain attempt to see the Black-backed jackals (which failed miserably, though I have since seen them). I'd never stop and speak to someone, though, thanks to fairly severe social anxiety.
