Wish to meet zoochatters, I've probably seen some, but not talked to them, I have terrible anxiety and meeting new people is quite hard for me xx maybe some time xxx

I've now been on Zoochat for a year and one day exactly. And on the first day of my second year I met into not one but two Zoochatters. First, as stated above, I met @Arizona Docent, then later in the day I met @Anteaterman. Meeting both of them was a please.

Still haven't met any Zoochatters. We should have, like a pin that we wear to identify ourselves.

I haven't met any yet, but let me know if you're planning on visiting the Detroit Zoo. I live within walking distance, I'm a member, and I go there a lot. Always ready for another visit.

I have a terrible memory for names and faces, and often don't recognise people out if their usual context, which can be embarrassing

My photo group has pins that we wear on our camera straps to identify each other. Zoochat pins! I would buy one.

I think the pins (as suggested by @betsy ) is a great idea. However the problem is how to make and sell them. The site owner @Simon Hampel is based out of Australia and the users are all over the world. He would have to have the desire to do it and to put out the money up front to have them made and try to guess how many to make on the first run and then figure out how to sell them and ship internationally. I doubt he will want to do it, but just in case he can be swayed I hope he realizes there is interest.

It really isn't that hard to make to make your own pins.

There are plenty of independent artists and designers across the world that make and sell their own pins, so it's not impossible. You just need a manufacturer to actually make them. These are usually based in China, but there are factories in most countries. I've backed many pins on Kickstarter from artists in the UK, USA and Australia. Location itself isn't the issue, but customs charges can be problematic.

In theory, with Sim's approval obviously, any one of us could just create a design most people like and then make/ship them according to demand.

Well that is true (with, as you say, the approval of @Simon Hampel ). However while I agree you can sell and ship pins according to demand, I don't think you can make them according to demand as you suggest. To manufacture something like that you need to make a certain number to offset the cost of setting up the equipment to produce it. How many you have to make on a first run, I don't know (a hundred, five hundred?). But if someone wanted to take this on it would be great. T-shirts I think are easier to make one at a time. There are even some print-on-demand places that do it for you online (the name of the main one escapes me at the moment). However the quality of those from the few I have seen is not as good as if you do a professional run of many at a silk-screener (or for even better quality, have the logo embroidered in the pocket area, which I would be more inclined to buy, perhaps even with ZooChat user name embroidered).
